About Kendra

Pronouns: She / Her

Hello, my name is Kendra! I am an intern therapist and registered social worker with an educational background in psychology, and I am currently completing my Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto, in the health and mental health stream.

My approach is trauma-informed and anti-oppressive, therefore my goal is to meet you where you are at and create a safe and supportive space where you are able to openly discuss your feelings. My approach is also client-centred and strength-based, therefore I hold the belief that you are the expert in your own life and possess the inner resources necessary to navigate challenges. I look forward to working together!

Note: Kendra is currently a student intern. Her work is supervised by Katherine Hall, MSW RSW

  • I have experience working in various mental health settings, including community mental health, primary care, and crisis settings. I have worked with youth, young adults, adults, and Indigenous clients experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, and relationship difficulties. I also support individuals who are navigating life transitions. I have experience with a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical-behaviour therapy (DBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). I also incorporate mindfulness and self-compassion practices into my work. I will take an integrative and holistic approach with these techniques to support you in improving your mental health and wellbeing.
