Office Policies

Please check with your therapist to confirm their individual policies. Unless they have told you otherwise, the below policies apply for all appointments booked at The Growth & Wellness Therapy Centre.

BOOKING POLICY:

Appointments can be booked with the office online, by email or by phone, or can be booked directly through your therapists. For appointments booked under 24 hours in advance you must go through the therapist you are booking with directly as we can’t guarantee availability within 24 hours.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations unless otherwise stated by your therapist. Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment, will incur the full fee of the appointment.

If you decline to show up for two consecutive appointments without notice, a non-refundable 50% deposit will be required to book future appointments.

CHECK-IN:

When you arrive at 501 Eglinton Ave E you can enter through the main door at the top of the stairs, and once inside we are the second door to the left in Suite 201. When you enter the office you can take a seat in the waiting area and the administrative staff or your therapist will get you when it is time for your appointment.

ACESSIBILITY POLICY:

The Growth & Wellness Therapy Centre is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We are committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence.

We believe in integration, and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility whenever possible and by meeting our accessibility requirements under Ontario’s accessibility laws.

For reference our office is unfortunately not currently easily accessible for those with mobility needs. There are a few stairs to go up to enter the building, and a flight of stairs in the office needed to enter our group space. There is a shared bathroom available off the building hallway. A kitchen within the office is available for use by clients and therapists with complimentary coffee and tea. To assist with physical accessibility most services are available online or by home visit, for those unable to access the office physically. Please reach out to the office for more information.

MEDICAL CONCERNS:

If you are dealing with any medical issues that may get exacerbated by doing work with any of our practitioners, please consult with your doctor before accessing our services. We are not doctors and so cannot provide medical advice or diagnoses, though we can support you in speaking to your doctor to receive this support from them. Any mental health assessments done at our clinic are for symptom management only.

CONSENT POLICY:

We are committed to ensuring the safety of our clients and clinicians. As such, we require all clients to sign a consent form for all services. This form is intended to communicate any relevant information including the process of therapy and any potential benefits and risks associated with the service. Please feel free to reach out to the office for more information.

ACCESS TO CLIENT FILES:

You have access to your own file at any time upon request. If you are a child under the age of 16, you and your legal parents or guardians have access to your file at any time upon request. If you sign consent for a third party to have access to your file (ie. a lawyer or medical professional) there may be fees attached. Please reach out to the office for more information.
