Tabitha Dovell
MA CYC Intern
Child and Youth Practitioner
About Tabitha
Pronouns: She / Her
Hi!
My name is Tabitha, I am a Child and Youth Care Practitioner (CYCP) currently completing my Masters at Toronto Metropolitan University. I have held the title of CYCP for 19 years and have spent many of those years working with teenagers in high school settings. I have had the opportunity to work with young people individually, in family settings as well as in group settings.
I believe young people thrive when they feel heard, have the opportunity to express themselves
and are given the proper strategies to empower who they are. I assist young people in navigating anxious thoughts, depression, identity, life transitions and interpersonal relationships. I listen to the young person and follow their need in their journey.
My approach is strength based, which means I think you are the expert, and I am here to support you. My hope as a CYCP is to build a space that you feel safe, supported and can share your thoughts and feelings.
I look forward to connecting.
