Pronouns: She/Her

Hi there! I am a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist. I completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts, with a double Major in Psychology and Sociology at The University of Western Ontario, and then obtained my Masters of Social Work at the University of Toronto. I have over 8 years of experience providing therapy to children, youth, and adults in a variety of settings. My primary area of practice has focused on supporting individuals through various forms of interpersonal challenges and trauma. I particularly enjoy working with people to help them develop their emotional and relational coping skills to manage feelings of burnout. I’m passionate about continuing education and have completed additional trainings/certifications in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Lia’s clinical supervision services are available to OCSWSSW registered clinicians.

  • Whether you’re having trouble managing stress, understanding your emotions and behaviours, or want to develop coping skills, it is helpful to have a sounding board to support you. I provide a non-judgemental space to explore how your past experiences have influenced your current ways of coping. Through this process, I can assist you in developing new strategies to manage complex thoughts and feelings. I work from a trauma-informed, collaborative perspective to help you make the changes you want to make in your life.

I believe it can be beneficial to understand different parts of ourselves that impact our behavioural & emotional patterns in order to move towards our goals. Having assistance from a therapist to do so keeps this process feeling safe. I would be happy to support you in this way and help make your healing journey more palatable. It’s okay to reach out for help no matter the “size” of your problem. I'd love to hear from you to explore if we are a good fit to work together! Please feel free to be in touch and book a free 15-Minute Consultation.

I also provide clinical supervision. If you are a clinician starting your own private practice, or work at an agency and may need additional supervision/support, I’d be happy to discuss if we might be a good fit to work together. Supervision can be provided on a weekly/bi-weekly, monthly, or as-needed basis.
