We provide most of what you need for services so you can just focus on your clients, including sheets, laundry service, administrative support (booking, billing, advertising), the booking and charting system (Jane), and take care of general room maintenance, restocking linens at the end of the day. You are expected to bring your own lotions or oils, and any additional tools you may need for your services, including your own music. Storage is available in the office for these items.
The physical therapy room that you will be working in is on the fifth floor of an elevator-accessible building. It is a newly renovated warm and inviting space with natural light and plants, a massage table and storage, and has access to a clinician-only kitchen space in our unit.

The Growth and Wellness Therapy Centre (GWTC) is an award-winning, warm and supportive health clinic focused on supporting both our clients and clinicians. For our clients we provide a space that feels physically and emotionally safe and comfortable, with clinicians who are empathetic, effective, and dedicated.
Established in 2019, we are a busy private practice clinic in midtown Toronto focused on providing health and wellness support to the community both in person and online. We provide psychotherapy, massage, coaching, reiki, yoga, groups and a practicum program for psychotherapy and social work students. Many of our clients trust us to see to a variety of their individual and family needs, and internal referrals between clinicians and services to promote wrap-around support are common.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Registered Massage Therapy is a trusted and respected discipline on our team. The ideal candidate will be able to offer exceptional and warm service to clients while remaining self-motivated, trauma-informed and compassionate in their work. A successful RMT on our team must be able to build rapport with their clients, develop treatment plans, encourage repeat visits and (as needed) refer to other services within the clinic, and build a loyal client base. The days and hours for this position are negotiable, but we expect the successful candidate to be available at least 3 days a week with a current need for practitioners available in the evening and on weekends.
Hiring: Registered Massage Therapist (F/T or P/T)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Abide by the GWTC Policies and Procedures Handbook
- Provide safe and effective massage services for both relaxation and physical health
- Ability to adapt to client feedback
- Knowledge and ability of service contraindications and ability to adapt services as needed
- Complete charting as required
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Provide post-session and home care recommendations to clients
- Ensure proper, safe use of clinic equipment
- Responsible for fostering a health attitude and working relationship with all team members
- Clean your practice area between appointments and set up for following appointments
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
- Courteous, warm and professional demeanor
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Comfort working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of presenting needs (including clients who are pregnant, who have post-operative scarring, and who are going through chemotherapy treatments)
- Availability to work evening/weekend shifts
